Acadia National Park

It is a 16-or-so hour drive from southern New Jersey to Acadia National Park, just outside of Bar Harbor, Maine. Our route was up the Garden State Parkway, across the Hudson on the Tappen Zee Bridge, across Connecticut on the Merrit Parkway and up into Massachusetts. Route 90 takes you near Boston and Route 495 takes you around Boston. From there, it's up Route 95, through a few minutes of New Hampshire and into Maine. From the Maine border it is still a few hours to Bar Harbor. We camped at Mount Desert Narrows Camping Resort, right out on Frenchmans Bay. For Jersey boys, the scenary is stunning.
