More Travels With Don

Maine, 1995

In the summer of 1995, Don and I had the good fortune to take a trip to Maine. Our goal was to climb Mount Katahdin, the highest mountain in Maine, sometimes called the most difficult non-technical mountain east of the Rockies. How that turned out will be related later.

Our trip can be started from any of four main areas:

Acadia National Park
Quoddy Head State Park
Cobscook Bay State Park
Baxter State Park and Mount Katahdin
